So today has been a lovely day :) Well, Lovely minus the constant rain.
I slept until 12 this afternoon, which is a little late, but I was tired, so it’s all good.
Unfortunately, we woke up to our water turned off, so I was having a panic attack, because I had to brush my teeth before we left. Thankfully, 20 minutes before I had to go to the bus station, they turned it back on. They were apparently working on the pipes on the other side of the building, but needed to shut ours off as well.
Then we went to the bus to go into town. We went grocery shopping again. But first, we stopped at Max (for people outside Sweden and Norway, it is a fast food burger chain, with better food than McDonalds or Burger King). I ended up with this:

It isn’t even close to as big as it looks there, but it is sooooo yummy. I also had french fries with their Hot Creole sauce, which is also super yummy. It’s sweet, yet spicy and ughhh. I could eat it every day and not get bored of it.
So then we went grocery shopping. I got to see a friend of mine, Alexandra, working there today as well. I only got to talk to her for a minute, but I haven’t seen her in awhile, so it was nice to talk even for that minute. But yeah, it is CLEARLY coming towards summertime, because there are tons of new foods coming out. We bought a few new things:

From the left:
Estrella is a potato chip brand here in Sweden. We saw these by accident, and Stian remembered that I had mentioned having these delicious cheeseburger flavored chips back when I lived in New York. He tossed them in the wagon immediately and said “Yeah, let’s spoil ourselves.” I’ll probably write how they taste later on.
The little green jar really isn’t anything new, persay. It’s more so new to me, because I finally found it here. It’s a jar of tahini, because I want to make my own hummus. I have not been able to find the tahini though, so I haven’t been able to do so. But now I have it, so yay! If you don’t know much about hummus, it’s the second most important ingredient in hummus, behind chickpeas/garbanzo beans.
The Singoalla box is a box of cookies. They were new today. They are supposed to taste like strawberry cheesecake. I am so excited to eat those, because I LOVE strawberry cheesecake. Singoalla and Ballerina are my favorite cookie brands here, and they very rarely disappoint me, so hopefully these are super yummy :)
And if you read my last long grocery post, you should know about this bag of chips. If you don’t, I will summarize. Last time we went to the supermarket, we saw that OLW was selling New York Style Baked Potato and Sour Cream chips. We grabbed the bag immediately, because they sounded so yummy. They were a bit of a letdown though. It was just like eating their Cream Cheese Potato Chips. But later that night, I realized there were two other flavors in their Taste of America brand of chips: Louisiana Style Hot BBQ and these chips, Texas Style Grilled Cheese and Onion. We didn’t see them last time, but today they were in stock. I was so excited, because the commercials for them have been taunting me for weeks. I have been a grilled cheese lover since I was 5 years old, and lately, I am in love with onions, so hopefully these chips will work out for me too :D

Vetemjöl is just flour. I just wanted to show people this, because I have never seen such a big bag in my life. (5kg is around 10 lbs.)
The Gevalia Cappuccino is not a new thing either. Just new to me. Stian and I were looking for cocoa powder (which we never ended up with) so we could make hot chocolate and saw this instead. It’s cappuccino mix with Marabou brand chocolate bits in it. It sounds so good, especially because Marabou chocolate is better than any other chocolate I have had in my life. It’s like little packets you pour in hot water, kind of like hot chocolate packets, so I suppose we came close to our goal :p

And finally, we found these Mentos. Now, I haven’t lived in New York for a year and a half, so I don’t know if they exist there now, but I have never seen these before. They are like Life Savers flavored Mentos. Grape, Orange, Lemon, Watermelon, and Apple, I believe. I don’t remember though. But they were 5 kronor (Less than $1.00) so we decided to try them.
Once I try all of the new foods, I will probably do a mini review on how good or bad they were :) And perhaps I will show how I made my hummus as well :D
Then Stian’s brother Nils drove me home again. His friend Felix was with him, and we had a decent car ride home. Nils knows I have a mild issue with dubstep. I just don’t get it. It’s a bit too bassy for me. Anyway, he and his friend kept making these faces at each other, but I brushed it off. I should have known they were up to something. Nils goes “oh, you have to hear this one song. It’s a dubstep bass test track. It’s awesome.” So I go “okay sure, it’s your car.” I was pleasantly surprised, but that didn’t last long. It was calm for about 5 seconds, and then all of a sudden, the bass kicked in. It was like the car went into shock. The bass flowed through my whole body and I felt like my heart had stopped. I was screaming “HOLYFUCKINGSHITITHINKIMDYINGTURNITOFFOHMYGODSTOPPLEASE” while they were laughing. When he finally turned it down, I lost it: “ARE YOU TRYING TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK?! BECAUSE IT FUCKING WORKED!” They were laughing so hard they couldn’t breathe. Assholes, hahaha.
Afterwards, they helped me take the groceries inside, questioned me about the apartment, and then Stian got here and the 3 of them were playing around with Trials Evolution on the XBOX. And now I am sitting here, writing this post.
But for now, I am going to go and watch Min Pappa Är Bättre Än Din Pappa with Stian and relax for the night, which probably includes me writing and reblogging a lot here on Tumblr :)
